If it ends up being Trump, I wouldn't worry about it too much. He likely doesn't believe much of what he says, he's just pandering. Being president is on his bucket list, but I don't think he wants to do a bad job or go down on the wrong side of history.

I don't know about that, though.
If he was just pandering to appeal to the republican base, why would he make enemies with Fox News? :?

And I'm not just concerned about crazy things he says he'll do... I'm concerned that he literally knows absolutely nothing about foreign policy etc.. He's basically even admitted it.

How high a chance do you think there is of it being Trump, though? O_O

It's just so crazy. I couldn't imagine this happening in any other country.

That makes me more confident in him, actually. In business, you hire consultants. He doesn't need to know anything about it, because he'll hire other people to make the decisions for him -- experts.
The danger is when you get a moronic conservative who has grand ideas about international politics, based on false knowledge.

What a person thinks he or she knows is more dangerous than what he or she doesn't know.

The state of conservatism in the states is just inherently crazy. Trump's behavior is more symptomatic of that; he knows how to market himself. It's just calculated advertisement.

Same thing with the fox stuff; making enemies draws media attention.

That crossed my mind for a second, but then I thought... Will he hire experts?

He has very radical foreign policy positions; he just doesn't know anything about foreign policy.
He's not saying, "I'm going to refrain from judgement until the experts have worked it out."
He's saying, "Bomb the hell out of them!... Wait, General who? Oh yeah, I totally know who that is... Blah, I'll just learn about him once I get elected!"

It really is, largely because of money in politics (which is why Bernie winning is extremely important).

There are two common theories that I've heard speculated about Trump:
A) He is really just a great advertiser, and isn't a total nutjob.
B) He actually is really that nuts.

I lean towards theory B, currently.
If he wasn't insane, why would he sue Bill Maher for five million dollars over an orangutan joke? O_O
And why would he attack Fox, the conservative 'news' channel?

Well yeah, but why would he attack Fox? That's negative attention (from his perspective).

Get ready...

Bernie Sanders is now winning in Iowa and New Hampshire, and is within single digits of Hillary nationally.
Oh my god... :D

He's now winning by five points in Iowa, and he's only seven points behind nationally!
It's actually happening! :D

He is pretty entertaining at times.
A part of me feels as though more people agree with Trump (that's not to say it's right), but they won't say it out in the open, or they don't say it as explicitly as he does.
Anyway, I don't really bother debating politics because.. well.. they're boring. I don't really care about what happens to this country anymore to be honest.

Probably white people.

She pretty much toes the party line, so it would probably be about the same as it is now.

Either Sanders or Trump would be something remarkably different.

I've considered it, and that's why I support Bernie instead. ;)

Yeah, she's really similar to Obama... Typical establishment democrat who won't fix our broken political system.

She's still way better than all of the republicans running, of course.
