That person who I brought to the club told her friend what happened, so now we have a little coalition. Eventually we're going to have a meeting with the principal, but yeah... I guess it's better to contact the ACLU.
I just don't really like the idea of going over their heads before giving them a chance... But I see how it's the best option at this point.

Correct. Though the ACLU would be safe to tell. They wouldn't talk to your school without your consent if you ask them not to yet.
If they recommend getting more evidence or confession on recording, they'll also be able to tell you what kind of questions to get him to answer. Assuming they're inclined to the spy stuff (which they may not be if it's not very useful in court).

He plopped another article next to me in the library when I was doing my chem hw about Trump. He said one of the guys at the club (who I'm sort of friends and with sort of the opposite with) is BLACKENING the republican party name. Blackening. The guy who he's referring to is African American.
I was just like...
"What do you mean, blackening?"
He said he meant the guy says crazy things they don't agree with and gives them all a bad name, and that the club isn't as bad when he's not there because he's aggressive and makes the other guys feel the need to be dominant.

And he said it again, blackening. Do you have no self-awareness? O_O I don't think I've ever heard someone use that word before that.

Before that, he made a KKK reference to me on messenger.

Not to mention his obsession with hanging people... He said he'd bring a hanging machine and hang me. Today, he said Rachel Maddow said Ted Cruz should be hung? Wtf? And he said how horrible that was... And two minutes later, he said some reporter at the NY Times should be hung. Seriously, what the FUCK?

Then, at some point in our convo today, I was like, "Ok, I have to do my chem homework."
And he said I was running away from the conversation because I couldn't respond to the shit he was saying, and that democrats like me do useless things like science.
"Republicans major in important things like history, democrats major in things that don't matter like science."
I mentioned climate change, since he actually believes in it.
"Maybe if more republicans majored in science, we wouldn't have so many republicans who deny climate change."
He said that was just one issue.
"What about healthcare and medical science?"
"Do you want to be a doctor?"
"Well, no-"
And he said that it doesn't matter then. He literally said science doesn't matter and that it's useless.

I've probably lost some of you at this point, but I really can't make this shit up.
Then, we were in the hallway, and that guy who's 'blackening' the republican party joined our convo as we walked out of the library. And he was like to that guy-
"I'm sorry I told you to be nice to her, she's worse than I thought."
And then he started talking about how useless science is, and the other guy (who's 'blackening' the republican party) equated what I was saying to communism or something? What the hell?

These people are literally insane. I actually don't know what to say about it at this point.

Why are you giving these people, or even this club, the time of day? They don't seem to be interested in debate and just seem to be interested in spreading their dogmas and propaganda. Weirdly enough, I only know one kid like that in my school, and even then he's not that bad. By the way, do you think there are any young democrats like that in your school (horseshoe theory wise)?

I would expect that kinda nonsense from people that go to my school, but the funny thing is, most of the kids I've talked to believe in evolution and global warming. Even my religion teachers agree that creationists are idiots, and believe in science (although they do believe that God prompted it, but that's to be expected). One of the brothers is a science teacher, though I'm unsure of which field.

These people are literally insane. I actually don't know what to say about it at this point.

It seems to me that going to this group seems to be counterproductive. Sure, you may convince one or two people, but it seems that the vast majority of the anuses seem to only be interested in boasting their beliefs.

My solution? Fuck politics!

If any people are threatening verbally it is serious and they should be recorded. Even if directed toward others. Nothing like that should be dismissed.

I notice there is more dismissal of compassion being applied often, even more than when I was really young and veganism was not heard of. Social Darwinism is in play, where compassion is withheld from any who are weaker. I hear it should be left up to them to become stronger. There's no regard for disadvantage or the elderly.

I am not statist anymore. The state may justify itself as providing a net that those to disadvantages will be provided for the way they would never be otherwise. But I see there can be compassionate anarchism, in which communities of people themselves will have provision in place for any who are subject to disadvantages that cannot provide for themselves adequately, that they will still get. Any among us can evolve to that, rather than still remain depending on a state over us for everything we might.
