New smilies?

The default smilies on the forum are a little obnoxious looking.

I'd kind of like to implement something more like this:

Might adjust them to be more forum colors. It's easy if they're single color like that.

Good thinking. I hardly ever use smilies because they are obnoxious looking, plus they are kinda ugly. They look like they're from 2004 or some shit. Plus, we can use a bit more variety.

Oh really? Is that what you think? I am somewhat confused and shocked! I think they're pretty cool. I think they are lovely. If you got rid of them, some people might be upset. Wait, I have an idea! Maybe we could keep the old ones, but also add the new ones. It would require some technological stuff that I'm not aware of, but then I don't really know anything about technology.

^I know you probably rolled your eyes at that , but I do actually like the smilies we have. Why don't we just add new ones for people who want to be less obnoxious? There's no rule against being obnoxious, is there?

*I like the first link better, because the faces aren't in boxes. That's just a personal preference though.

It's easier just to replace the image files than to add more. Plus, it would be inconsistent if we had different styles, and would look even more obnoxious.

Because the coding is already there. It's faster just to put new images in rather than typing up new code to add more smilies.
