I used to listen to a lot of Arch Enemy when I was younger, haven't really followed them for many years though.
Just found out BOTH Alissa and Angela are vegan! Cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waLHX1qrbvo
I don't really like the vocals of the new singer, though :/
Here's an example of an old AA song I like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBDnU382y7U
At the moment I listen to a lot of Nine Inch Nails remixes, like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1GjACubuRY
What are you listening to?

Re: What are you listening to?
Yes, I know. Forgot to mention that. Michael Amott is vegan as well. I don't know about any of the others.
I very much like their new album Will to Power, but not their second most recent album, War Eternal. I listened to the first 6 songs of War Eternal, but found them boring and so I didn't want to go on. Now I can understand why Dream Sphere doesn't like Arch Enemy.

Re: What are you listening to?
Listening to The Blind Leader by Kalmah right now.
In relation to Arch Enemy, I dislike Nevermore too, and one of AE's guitarists is from that band. I don't know if he's still in AE, I know one guitarist left AE a bit ago.
I'm not saying either is bad, just not my thing. So with that said, you guys might like Nevermore if you don't already know them. This Godless Endeavor is pretty critically acclaimed.
Edit: I'm a little delirius rn due to sleep issues, so that's why I had all those mistakes which I edited.

Lately I've been listening to Tuvan & Mongolian throat-singing. Here's a few songs I've listened to:

Altai Kai. My favorite song of their's so far is the first one featured in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RujKG9hmCY
I like how nicely the throat-singing, clean vocals, drums, and various string instruments all complement each other.
Don't be fooled by the video title, "The Altai band from Mongolia". Altai Kai is from the Altai Republic, which is a region of southern Russia. It is bordered by Kazakhstan to the southwest and Mongolia to the southeast, but it is not a region of Mongolia.

Re: What are you listening to?
I've been listening to Heilung a lot recently (name means "healing" in German). A rather unique style of music that I haven't heard before. Dreamsphere, do you know of any bands with a style similar to that of Heilung?
My favorite songs so far are Othan, Futhorck, Alfadhirhaiti, and Krigsgaldr.

I don't really know any other bands, but it sounds like neo-folk, dark ambient, and with some industrial sounds too, based on the song Krigsgaldr. I don't know any other group with this exact mix of folk/dark ambient/industrial. I can reference bands which are vaguely like this band, but far from being in the very same vein.
I mean bands like Summoning have interesting rhythms in their programmed drums which may sound kinda industrial like, they have a lot of atmosphere in a kind of ambient way, and they have folk melodies, but it's like very different proportions of mostly the same ingredients can have hugely different results.
iirc you know Summoning? I can't remember for certain. Every album since their second one is great, and since you at least at one point liked black metal with symphonic sounds, they should be up your alley if you're still into that.
Other artists I can recommend which are kinda like this are Costin Chioreanu who does dark ambient stuff with some metal mixed in. Try these three songs. https://costinchioreanu.bandcamp.com/track/the-day - https://costinchioreanu.bandcamp.com/track/ihwaz - https://costinchioreanu.bandcamp.com/track/a-storm-shall-take-the-words-away
I'm pretty sure some Absu members have dark ambient side projects. But I can't find any of Proscriptor's dark ambient/darkwave music on bandcamp or YT. But I did find some Equimanthorn. Here's one of their albums https://shaytanproductions.bandcamp.com/album/exalted-are-the-seven-throne-bearers-of-ninnkigal
A band that does neo-folk and has some atmosphere in their sound is Empyrium. But they're more distant from Heilung than some of what I rec'd earlier. Also, Nocte Obducta's recent albums may be up your alley, try Umbriel, and Mogontiacum in particular. Very atmospheric, folk influence, and good rhythms though they may not exactly be industrial.
To be honest, while I like the style, I haven't explored it much.
By the way, once you have more free time, you might be interested in checking out this site called plug.dj
It's great for discovering new music if you find the right people. I've only checked out one community, so I don't know what the electronic/darkwave community is like, but The House of Rock & Metal is pretty good for what it's meant for. Basically, you go in a queue with everyone else who wants to be in queue, and you take turns playing songs for the whole group of people in the room via YT vids and Soundcloud uploads. My name on there is "mythsofmetal"
You can also chat with people on there, so it's sort of a good mix of a discovery tool, and just also for social interaction over music you all hope each other likes.
Also, 2018 has been probably the best year in terms of new metal releases I've been aware of as or soon after they've come out.
I could share some of what I've been digging from this year, but only if you or others are interested.

Anyone familiar with The HU? It is a folk-rock band in Mongolia, and they have two songs on YouTube. I discovered them just yesterday.
I also like Khusugtun and Boerte. They perform with traditional instruments, whereas The HU blends traditional instruments (and throat-singing) with electric guitar, for a unique style. Actually, come to think of it, so does Hanggai (Inner Mongolian band)
