I (Again) Don't Know What to Get For Christmas

Okay so again, like what happened 3 years ago, I don't know what to get for Christmas. I know I shouldn't be so indulgent (it's also about giving, and I also don't want to be feeding into consumerism), but I mean come on.
To be honest, I am just about out of things to want, really. I have basically everything I need, and some things, if I do get them, will just turn into clutter. I also don't really play video games anymore, so those aren't things I'd really be trying to get. Not to mention a lot of other things I do want are internet based (such as charities or subscriptions).

So anyway, here's my list so far:
-Escher, Godel, and Back: An Eternal Golden Braid
-Infinite Jest
-Confederacy of Dunces (my philosophy teacher recommended me these books)
-A Mind for Numbers
-A Sketchbook
-New Headset
-The Official Polish/Jewish Joke Book
-Reinstate my fucking debit card
-External Harddrive

Do I really need anything else?

Maybe instead of the card, your own bank account? A useful thing to have.

My teacher said that if I read one of them, give him a test on it and he passes, he'll give me a 100 (I already have 100 in his class but it's for shits and giggles). Have you read them? Do you (or anyone else) have any new recommendations? I don't want too many because I'll probably get overwhelmed.

I already have a bank account. My dad set up two when I was born, one for the money I make (allowances, birthday and Christmas money, etc.) and I think the other one for my Christening money (I mean, I don't believe in God, but I'm not complaining if you know what I mean ). Every week my Grandfather gives me 40 bucks and I put it all in my bank account. Then I go ask my mom for money since all of mine is in the bank. It's a get rich slow scheme.

I guess I can try opening up a Paypal account? I already have the debit card, and my friends told me that if I have the card, I should be able to get a Paypal.

I'd recommend The Candidate: Jeremy Corbyn's Improbable Path to Power by Alex Nunns. A very good introduction to the Corbyn movement in Britain and to British politics in general.

Most of its focus is on recent politics, but it goes into some detail on history, mostly on how it relates to Corbyn's rise (e.g. why Michael Foot, another Labour left-winger, did not achieve the same level of success due to the Falklands factor in the 1983 election).

Blue, you're a history buff. Have any good books on British History? I mean Pre-Industrial Revolution, not much in the World Wars (as interesting as they are, they've been done to death in terms of being studied and written about, like the American Civil War).

I find them all interesting, but not enough to read an entire book about. Eh, maybe a Horrible Histories book. You're a yank so you won't know what those are.

Anyway, my mother's into Mary Queen of Scots, so if you like, I can drop her a line and ask about some good books.
