i'm not vegan yet. i want to be vegitarian because i have empathy for animals.

killing conscious beings for meat is immoral.

I know, I meant to ask why you decided to start going vegan. Should've made that more clear, sorry.

That's basically the route of veganism's ethical argument. Of course, it's much more complicated than that, but that's the general idea!
