Seems best to rely on staples that aren't as susceptible, and otherwise eat these foods in moderation.

Yeah, several staple foods in smaller amounts would seem safer, like a multi-grain bread or cereal instead of single grain. Since there are so many available here, I'm avoiding those most prone to contamination by something or other, such as rye, rice, and corn at this point.
