When you are on a vegan diet and you get rid of all diary products. What is there then to replace the diary products in a vegan diet?

There are many alternatives, most prefer Almond Milk as the new milk beverage (it tastes a bit odd at first if you don't like almonds; it's an acquired taste).

Just experiment with whatever you like. There are plenty of vegan alternatives for things such as ice cream or cheese.

Read this thread if you'd like to learn more about it (just ignore Carnap's fear-mongering).

Oat milk is my son's favourite, he hates soy and find almond milk too watery.. if that makes sense... he think oat milk is the most similar to cows milk... if you haven't give it a shot, it's really cold by itself.. tasty.

Why isn't nobody mentioning B12? Vegans should in-take some B12 as a complement (there's a wide variety of ways to do so). Not only vegans but also vegetarians, as B12 present in a meatless diet is significantly lower and eggs/cheese's B12 isn't as easily absorbed by our system than a direct intake of cyanocobalamin. Think about VEG1 or Natrol B12 supplements.

It's always a really challenged process, but I'm hundred percent sure it worth that.

I wouldn't say going vegan is really that hard; I think telling people that it is hard deters them from doing it.
It might be a bit difficult for some at first, but after a while, when they've planned out their diet and figured out what to replace meat with, it's becomes a way of life. Something you do without trying.

On the other side, telling them it's easy may have them underprepared.

It might be best to say it's not hard but it takes time, trying to do it overnight would be hard. The trick is finding replacements and new habits which takes time, so phasing things out over a few weeks while discovering replacements can make it much easier.

I usually tell people it isn't as difficult as it's made out to be. I help them with what foods they should introduce into their diet, and let them know that in a few weeks time you'l be doing it without even thinking about it.

I've read that going 'cold turkey' is often better in terms of sticking with the diet instead of baby-steps. I think since most people don't get many veggies or beans in their diet (if any) it's best to tell them to gradually introduce more of these foods before they go all the way.

Did you mean to say the opposite of that, or have you read some things in favor of immediate change?
