Giving a Lecture on Veganism

I'm planning to give a speech next semester at my school about Veganism, more specifically convincing people to go vegan. I was inspired after rewatching Yourofsky's Georgia Tech Speech and seeing how much of an impact that it had.

I was originally planning on setting up an event to do this, but the problem with that is I'll probably only get like 20 people at best to come, and they'll also probably will all already be vegan or vegetarian. That isn't useful. I'm gonna see if I can ask a professor if I can come in during a class and give the speech; It's much better to have a random sample of people who don't have a choice but to listen to your message. I might ask a Writing professor I had, I'm on pretty good terms with them. Hell, I might ask my first Engineering professor, since he teaches a class with all the Engineering students in the same room, giving me a large audience (120 people about) and he's on good terms with me too. If not, I'll still have the speech ready in case I can ever get the chance to give it.

My speech will talk about the ethical, environmental, epidemiological, health, and sustainability issues of animal agriculture and meat consumption, as well as how to go vegan. The draft's about a quarter-way done, and throughout the speech, I'm more or less a total asshole, but also an encouraging one. It'll be about 9 thousand words which is about an hour.

What points should I be sure to add? Should I be an asshole, or more compromising? I have zero-issues being the center of attention, so that isn't something that would bother me.

The tone of that is going to be similar, though I'm going to include more arguments; Again I'm planning on having it about an hour.

Definitely, the asshole approach also may help keep people engaged. The Nice Guy approach can become boring, while the asshole approach is much more likely to hold attention. I just need to be careful, I don't want to be too much of an asshole.
