Chickens in the hen house from family...animal suffering is not involved at all.

Factory produced eggs are not the exception. Home grown eggs, like yours, are the exception. Still, it's definitely something you should stay away from for health reasons. There are so many better tasting foods that do not harm your body.
How to become vegan in 4.5 hours:
1.Watch Forks over Knives (Health)
2.Watch Cowspiracy (Environment)
3. Watch Earthlings (Ethics)
Congratulations, unless you are a complete idiot you are now a vegan.

Maybe, but that's not my reason to stay away from it...we all have to die some day.

I thought you don't stay away from eggs?Maybe, but that's not my reason to stay away from it...we all have to die some day.
So what if everyone dies? What is your point?

Sorry, I meant that it's not a reason for me to stay away from it.

How much would you give to spend one more day with your loved ones? How about one month? More importantly, how much is the pleasure of eating eggs worth to you? Would you be willing to have a heart attack for it?Pumpkin wrote:Maybe, but that's not my reason to stay away from it...we all have to die some day.
These are the questions you need to ask yourself when deciding to ignore adverse health effects of food.

I appreciate that you want to navigate me in healthy and unhealthy food, but that's not why I choose to be vegetarian. I like to drink a glass of wine, I smoke, I eat very irregularly ... my health is not at issue, I am a vegetarian because of animal cruelty and my health is less important. Eggs are only a small part of my unhealthy life just like the many things that companies put in food, including vegetarian food. I like to eat eggs from time to time, which makes me a vegetarian and not vegan, I find it too extreme and unnecessary to stay away from all animal products.miniboes wrote:How much would you give to spend one more day with your loved ones? I find it extreme to eat something that came out of a chicken's cloaca.I find it too extreme and unnecessary to stay away from all animal products.
What makes it extreme to avoid eating animal products?
It's also unnecessary to stop eating from factory farms. You don't need to stop, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't.
Dairy and eggs are usually unethical and bad for the environment, and in addition, they are unhealthy compared to what else you could be eating.
I know you don't really care about the health aspect (Why not?), but what makes it extreme to?

OK, so you have a death wish; it is of course 100% up to you if you want to live healthfully or not. (It is irrational to live unhealthfully like that, since it won't make you happier, but that's another matter.)Pumpkin wrote: I appreciate that you want to navigate me in healthy and unhealthy food, but that's not why I choose to be vegetarian. However, you should quit smoking for moral reasons. Switch, at least, to chewing tobacco or vape. Smokers are murderers. "Only" 10% guilty of murder each, since it takes ten smokers to murder one non-smoker by second hand smoke, but I hope you'll recognize that it's not inconsequential.
Unless you're a hermit who lives in the middle of nowhere.
