Ehh... Seems more pretentious maybe?

Anybody can be a scholar, but a professor has a different meaning.

That's the humour to it. I'm a Professor with no real credentials.

Plus again the new name just rolls off the tongue better.

There is no humor to that. It's not unique, thinking of the professor (basketball youtuber), Dr. Dre, Dr J etc.

It's just a bit pathetic.

Pretty much nothing is unique anymore. So much has already been done in terms of names, originality isn't easy.

The term 'Professor' is more fitting than Dr. Dre since I'm focusing on educational content; And I'm not a real professor.

How?
What do you suggest I change my name to? To be honest I've always hated my name.

I thought ScholaRed was fine. You can go with Red Scholar I guess?

With an educational channel you definitely don't want to come across arrogant with your name. Look at other educational channels that are doing well.

I like ScholaRed as well. I'd avoid "professor" unless you can indicate that it's being used ironically (e.g., Professor Layman, Dr. Layman, NonProfessor Red, etc). Those were stupid examples but you get the point lol.

If you can't think of anything try using a random username generator.

I didn't really think it came off like that.

I like names like Vsauce or CGP Grey or Crash Course and such. Good names that are easy to pronounce and roll off the tongue. My name lacks that. It'll just create a meme on my channel about how to pronounce my name (especially when I'm not sure how to pronounce it).

Maybe Red-Of-All-Trades since I don't have one particular field of expertise? But I want to keep the amount of syllables low. Plus that name's also pretty shit.

Maybe Quasi-Professor Red? Or Pseudo-Professor Red? Perhaps Laymen Red? Non-Professor Red?

What's a word for a Layman who still has things to say on things? Pundit maybe? Or Peasant?

Maybe I should just use President Red? Nah doesn't fit. Dammit I don't know now.

Layman Red and Red-of-all Trades are good candidates.

Are you the user “Red Apple GP” on this forum? I like that name as well. At least in the states, apples are closely associated with schoolhouses and teachers. So branding and creating a channel “mascot” around that would be easy (without actually calling yourself a professor).

Try plugging those words into a username generator and see what you can come up with.
