Just reading through the OP's last post, I do wonder whether they're getting enough calories. We must eat enough, or we'll inevitably crave high-fat, calorie-dense foods - like cheese and meat. If you don't eat enough and you like cheese and meat, then it's no wonder you keep wanting to eat them.
I find that if I eat enough, so called 'addictions' never occur. It does take a while to realise that a healthy vegan diet, high in whole foods does require much larger portions sizes than a standard diet. I feel really full after each meal but I haven't put on any weight since I went vegan.
I've been vegan for about a year and never once faltered, but I have sympathy if you're finding it tough.
Really must do my intro post now!
