Hm, there's only one video on that channel, and it's not a Q&A.

I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GF5EZgRxulg
Were Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss in it too?

Or was Teller in it with him? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv_Xkz9zepI

I found this about his exaggeration: https://twitter.com/pennjillette/status/22341503887
He exaggerates to clarify his points... So he must agree with them, then.

Unless I'm not supposed to take that seriously.
I'm not sure if it was a Q&A
I thought it might be the second one, but I didn't hear the question in that one. Maybe I missed it somehow.

I think he's said it a few times (like in that tweet), but it would be good to find video. That was pretty short.

The first one I'll have to watch later. My internet is pretty slow.
Can you paraphrase his comments that might be related, or the approximate time stamp?

The closest he has come so far is this (7:17):

Alright, I watched the rest of it, and Penn didn't say anything else like that.

Interesting Q&A though. I'm going to watch that movie.

Same here. Did you find anything in the second video you posted?

There's something called Penn Point: https://www.youtube.com/user/pennpoint

It would be great if you could work your way through those. I'll try to as well, although slow internet. Any comments that might be relevant, maybe we can integrate them, and better understand his views.

If only he used a transcript we could just search for keywords.

188 videos. Can we divide it up between people?

Dividing them up might be good. How can we divide and assign? How many total hours are there?

Who wants to volunteer, and to watch how much? Who has a fast internet connection?

By the way, they're pretty good videos. Penn is a smart guy and makes interesting points, so it's not like pulling teeth. ;)

Also, each video is pretty short.
Don't forget to double your youtube playback speed.

Maybe it'd be the least confusing to find out how many people are doing it, and to divide 188 by that (rounding the result). Then, each person would watch that number of videos, and we'd start at the beginning.

If the number was 20, one person would watch videos 1-20, the next 21- 41, etc. I think that would be the least complicated. You?

Hahaha, alright, but it'd take a while.

How do I do that?

It seems like a coordination nightmare, definitely.

Click the little gear icon, in the bottom right. If you haven't, switch your player to HTML 5 (if it isn't by default).
It's called settings. Choose speed from the menu that pops up, and select 2.

It would be great if they had higher speeds than that, but for most videos 2x is enough.
People speak so slowly...

Also, this might be a good option:

Download all of the audio, and put it on a player, and just listen to it on the bus, at lunch, etc?
And if there's something interesting, you can record which episode it was in, and the time if your player tells you.

Well, it probably won't be that bad. As long as everyone knows the amount of videos they're supposed to watch...

Ah, I see. Some of them don't even have the option though, unfortunately.

That would be because they're playing in flash. You may have to monkey around with the URL to force it to:

https://www.reddit.com/r/LifeProTips/co ... nd_of_any/

https://www.youtube.com/html5

What videos in particular is it not working for?
I'll see if it does for me.

It's usually not worth the time to watch videos at normal speed.
brimstoneSalad wrote: How do I download the audio?
It's pretty much like uploading an image to an image sharing site. Just search "download youtube audio" and pick one, then input the link and it will give you a download.

I can't really recommend any one or another, I think they're all pretty much the same.
You can also download youtube videos the same way.

We could also look at the titles and probably guess if they'll be likely to be relevant. There may only be a few dozen videos with a good chance of containing anything we'd want to reply to.
