This deserves a link so that our atheists who were born too few years ago may also appreciate this masterpiece. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hk41GbjljfoChipDipSM wrote:Probably closer to your age, I'm 29.Jebus wrote:Haven't heard that one in over 25 years. Re: What are you listening to?
I will most definitely check out Sigh's new album, as well as all of the past recommendations that you gave me of metal bands. Unfortunately I really haven't been listening to music all that much lately, although when I have I've been focusing greatly on Dimmu Borgir. DreamSphere, if I remember correctly you haven't investigated them much, so I'd definitely recommend doing so. "Sacrilegious Scorn" is my favorite song of theirs. I also like "Gateways" and "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse."Dream Sphere wrote:Hey, ArmouredAbolitionist, I know you showed an interest in Sigh a little while ago and I was wondering if you had heard their newest album which came out about a week ago in North America (it had come out elsewhere about a month ago) called Graveward? Here's the album uploaded by Sigh's current record label on bandcamp -- http://candlelightrecordsusa.bandcamp.c ... /graveward -- I think the album is one of my favourites of theirs, though more than half their discography to me is almost perfect, this one lives up to the better half of their stuff, and it's quite interesting, with a good atmospheric synth/horror vibe to a lot of the songs in a similar but still unique way to some stuff they've done before. There's also quite a bit of jazz/psychedelic, black/thrash/heavy metal, and technical progressive type metal with some folk and other stuff also interspersed in it, but in a very cohesive, consistent way that really fits the album's theme.

This amazing piece.
Originally, I found it in one of DarkMatter2525's videos. You can find the video and his channel right here:

It sucks to be labelled as a 'cow' and an 'immoral bastard' just for being a vegetarian and an atheist, respectively, but I find it liberating to know that my lifestyle is based upon compassion and science! Not some total BS.

I listened to Graveward (the whole album) today and I liked it very much. My top 3 favorite songs from the album are probably The Forlorn, A Messenger from Tomorrow, and The Casketburner.Dream Spere wrote:Hey, ArmouredAbolitionist, I know you showed an interest in Sigh a little while ago and I was wondering if you had heard their newest album which came out about a week ago in North America (it had come out elsewhere about a month ago) called Graveward?

Re: What are you listening to?
I don't know Sigh besides Ghastly Funeral Theatre. I really love how this EP took the basic Celtic Frost formula and managed to make it quite experimental and still great.
Right now I'm listening to Portal, the australian band : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9SMpZ3 ... aUXSmz2N4w
It's a Death/Black Metal band with a very chaotic/noise structure and a lot of Lovecraft inspiration. There's probably nothing that sounds like this in extreme metal. I'm seeing them tonight, it's been a while since I hadn't heard this album.
