Which milks do you enjoy?

I'm currently trying out a lot of vegan things like different motherless milks. Wonder which one you enjoy the most.
I absolutely love vanilla soy milk, which I actually already drank before going vegetarian. Today I bought almond milk, but don't like it as much as soy milk (at least 'raw' out of a glass, maybe it's better in pancakes or smoothies or something).

Nutritionally, I think soy milk is the only one with value.
Coconut milk is saturated fat, with almost no protein.
Almond milk is low in protein, and higher in fat, and the fats aren't as good as in the soy (too much Omega 6)
Grain based milks (particularly rice) are more starchy and sugary, and also tend to be low in protein (although also low in fat)- they tend to have to be thickened more.
I'm not very familiar with hazelnut milk.
I only drink plain soymilk, personally (just soybeans and water
), it's the best tasting IMO; I don't like all of the sugars and thickeners added in.
Although I'm not against adding a dash of vanilla and/or maple syrup now and then as a treat.

I used to drink soy milk A LOT. I eventually stopped since I was a a no soy break for awhile. While on that no soy break I tried hemp, almond, and coconut milk. I eventually just stuck with Almond milk. I love the taste of it.

Oh, hempseed is good. I've never tried hemp milk, but it seems to have almost as much protein as soy milk, and only a little more fat (and the type of fat is good fat).
Nutritionally, I might even prefer it over soy milk due to the types of fats (yummy omega 3s).

In my oatmeal I use unsweetend almond milk. When I first went vegan I was using exclusively soy milk, but for the last 5 years Ive had soy milk maybe 10 times.

Unsweetened soy milk exclusively. I want the protein. Never tried hemp milk, but if its protein content is comparable to soy milk's, I'm eager see what it's like.
Now . . . what about the fat-free soy milk that's available commercially? I've never tried it, mainly because I anticipate I won't like it. Anyone have any experience with it?

Let me know if you find some, I'm curious too
Hemp seeds taste a little nutty and earthy.

Fat free soymilk is probably made with some kind of soy protein isolate. I guess it would be like a skim milk version of soy milk. At that point, I think I'd just buy protein powder (cheaper; isolated protein isn't particularly healthy, but it's probably the same thing either way, one just being mixed with water already).
I'm not much into the commercial brands; I think they're overpriced compared to home made. I only buy them in a pinch when away on business.
Westsoy and Edensoy both make plain soymilk, I think. I don't know who makes fat free soy milk.

Westsoy makes a fat-free soy milk. You're right that it contains soy protein concentrate.

Unfortunately it's sweetened.
Comparison between their Full-fat Organic Unsweetened Soy Milk and Non-fat Sweetened Soy Milk
Per cup:
...............................Full-fat..................Non-fat
CALORIES:
................90
..........................70
FAT:
.............................4.5g
.......................0 g
CARBS:
........................5 g
......................10 g
PROTEIN:
....................9 g
........................6 g
I'm sticking with the full-fat version, which contains nothing but soy beans and water.
But I am thinking of taking you up on your suggestion of a soy milk maker.

That's surprising, I would have
at least thought the non-fat version would have more protein per calorie, but it doesn't:
90 / 9 = 10 calories per gram of protein.
70 / 6 = 11.6 calories per gram of protein + those calories are sugar + whatever unknown manufacturing process and other additives (without which it would be watery)...
What's the point of that?
I'm almost compelled to write to them to complain, and I've never bought it.
Nutritionally, I'd take the full fat version too.
But I am thinking of taking you up on your suggestion of a soy milk maker.
You won't regret it.

questions for anyone drinking these "milks": do you drink them as a beverage, or do you use them in your meals (i.e. cereal, oatmeal, baking, etc)?
The only "milk" I will drink straight out of a glass would be sweetened chocolate soy milk.
