Who would you like to see debate in favor of veganism in front of an audience of millions?

It was just announce that about one month from now there will be a debate on the benefits of a paleo diet vs. the benefits of a "vegan diet" on the Joe Rogan Experience (not exactly an unbiased host). Nutjob Chris Kresser will represent paleo while Joel Kahn will represent veganism.

This debate will be hugely important given the enormous size of Rogan's viewing base.I don't know anything about Dr. Kahn. I just did a quick Youtube search and my first impression is that he is very good. Is there anyone else you would have chosen over Kahn if it were your choice? Has Dr. Greger ever done a debate or is this something he purposely avoids?

Looking at this again, I initially read the question as "would you like"... instead of "who would you like"... well, I kind of answered it there, Philip Wollen. The more the merrier though, a panel of experts like in the other debate would be nice.

Philip Wollen to discuss the nutritional merits of a plant based diet??? You realize this debate is not about ethics or environment, right?

That debate was about how animals should be off the menu, and there are more reasons than human nutrition, although you can't really separate them, all things considered. For one thing, we need water as much or more than any other nutrient, and that has to do with the rest of the discussion, besides nutrition alone (he talked about human health there, which would be the point). Like I said, it would be nice to have a panel of experts debating this again (because nutrition alone is a multidisciplinary subject, and there are studies done on different aspects of it in practically every medical specialty, among other things—it is always referred to as "human health and nutrition", and you can't separate the environment from human health any more than you can separate nutrition from the environment; quite literally, nutrition is the environment).
