Hi all,
Nice to meet you. It's been a couple of years now since I've embarked on this journey of veganism. I suppose I have always had an abundance of empathy towards other beings including non-human animals but had never really connected my meat with the animals themselves. Moreover, as I eventually learnt what actually was going on behind the curtain in animal factories and slaughterhouses meant that it became virtually impossible for me to continue eating meat with a clear moral conscience and so here I am. Anyway, a debate recently about ethics with a non-vegan friend sparked my interest in this subject area and in my quest to learn more about it, I happened to stumble upon this lovely forum. I have had great pleasures from reading some of the really intriguing and insightful discussions here. Now, I would like to hopefully actively partake in some of those discussions.
