What is your favorite fruit? Here are my top 5:
5: Oranges
4: Strawberries (Fun fact: Did you know that a strawberry is neither a straw, or a berry? Strawberries are actually called accessory fruits!)
3: Watermelons
2: Bananas (Fun Fact #2: Bananas are actually berries.)
1: Apples

Re: What's your favorite fruit?
Starfruit have a texture and flavour that is the perfect mix of citrus fruits (lemon, orange) and apples. They're juicy, sweet, and star-shaped. I have to admit that the star shape sometimes makes it harder to consume, I'd definitely want to bio-engineer a square/cubic starfruit.
Bananas are also great as they're an essential ingredient in the making of smoothies and shakes (both frozen or unfrozen).

I've never seen rose/water apple. Do they taste like anything more commonly available in North America?

I don't think there's anything that tastes like it - they say it tastes like rose water.TheVeganAtheist wrote:I've never seen rose/water apple. Do they taste like anything more commonly available in North America?
The texture is crispy, similar to an apple.
I'm not sure if there are many in North America.
In Italy, it's almost impossible to find - and the rare ones you find are likely rotten.
There are different types http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_apple
You should definitely try one, if you find it.

I love all the fruits! I guess raspberries, apples, tangerines, tomatoes, strawberries, cantaloupes and watermelons are among the top.

Some that come to mind:
- Blackberries
- Red bell peppers (although I also couldn't live without cayenne peppers)
- Kiwifruit (the real green ones)
- Strawberries
- Passion fruit
I always loved nectarines when I was a kid, and never were a big fan of watermelons.
