Hello friends,

I found this forum via the askyourself discord, and I quite liked what I stumbled upon when I saw a few posts by philosophicalvegan. His/her words were measured and reasonable and were actually responding to someone about a topic which I'm very interested in talking about further: veganism versus pragmatism.

About me: I've worked with food my whole life, got a bachelor's in sustainable agriculture, and have worked on different farms for varying lengths of time, from single acre organic teaching plots to large hydroponic greenhouses. I've been vegan since December 2016, or to be more precise, I have not spent any money on any products dependant on the exploitation of animals, which satisfies my definition of veganism. I have eaten meat and pastries containing dairy on occasions where I judged it appropriate to do so.

I mustered up the enthusiasm to sign up here because I'd like to discuss some thoughts I've been having with other reasonable people, but I'm also enthusiastic about developing my veganism more thoroughly.

Thanks for having me.

Hello Profound, you have an interesting educational background.
Do you support organic food? You claim to have worked on an organic farm, but I'd like to know if you support it.
