Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well, and you’re having great Halloween festivities.

Lots of updates this month too.

Regarding food and recipes, we did a few things.

1 - Many more new recipes have been added to the Wiki, and keep being added. wiki/index.php/Index_of_Recipes
This month an emphasis was put into Halloween dishes and sweets.

2 - We have decided to dedicate a page to holiday recipes, considering we’re under the end of the year festivities. For now recipes related to Halloween/October have been added.

3 - We have written a week example of a healthy vegan diet plan! wiki/index.php/Vegan_diet_plan
It includes time spent preparing the meals, the estimated cost, and of course the nutritional value for each meal, each day. We’d like to eventually have multiple cheap, time saving, tasty, vegan diet plans that people can follow.

4 - We have started writing the Cooking Guide and Tips section, a place for people that don’t have much cooking experience, to learn and be able to cook at home with more ease.
So far, we’ve written a section on pumpkins and how to prepare/cook them, and started some generic safety practices to keep in mind while cooking.

For what regards nutrition:

1 - We wrote a section dedicated to the classification of all the fruits, sorted by best to worst, taking into consideration their nutritional values and usefulness in a healthy vegan diet. It’s all explained in it: wiki/index.php/Best_fruits_to_eat

2 - We talked about sugar, and the various aspects of it, discussing the science of why or how it’s unhealthy, and classifying different types of sugar. wiki/index.php/Sugar

For the philosophical/ethical side of things:

1 - We wrote a critique of the recent documentary ‘Kiss the Ground’, where we address each claim made by the movie, scrutinizing what they claim to be true and what they claim is doable. wiki/index.php/Kiss_the_Ground

2 - A significant amount of stuff was added to the antinatalism section, addressing more arguments and misconceptions.

3 - We made a section talking about plant ethics. It addresses the main arguments for the pseudoscientific belief that plants are sentient, and the confusion behind it.

4 - Considering we are in the Halloween season, we made an article talking about Halloween and trick-or-treating for vegans, giving advice to vegan parents on what to do. And therefore, we also wrote a relevant article about 5 - vegan candies.

6 - Finally, we emailed Beyond to suggest to them a way to change their products for the better: we presented various arguments for them to fortify their products with vitamin B12, as we believe animal products replacements fortified with it will be important to help avoid a possible pandemic of B12 deficiencies among vegans, considering the accelerating surge of vegans, who are often unaware of or against the need to supplement B12 - a wide-spread deficiency that is easy to realize would not only be bad for vegans, but for veganism as a whole. We’ll follow up with this, letting you know what they responded, and how it evolves.

Hope you all have a great Halloween!
