I mostly agree with you. Also, attempting to major in a STEM field is risky as well, as was in my case. If you think you will be a good STEM student, you may be overestimating yourself. Just because you did well in high-school math and physics (be it winning competitions), it does not mean you will do well in university math and physics. Those are basically unrelated. I fell into that trap when I decided to study Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I will probably drop out from the university, even though I was one of the best, if not the best, students in my high-school.
Student debt is, as far as I understand it, an American-only problem, because of the flawed government policies intended to make higher education cheaper.

You can still try your best at it. It isn't as bad as it seems, it's mostly just a matter of time management.

In the first two years at least it's pretty much the same thing you study in college level courses in High School, just within a shorter time frame.

Maybe because you literally said you never study and just go in hoping for the best. This is speculative but I strongly suspect that to be something that contributes to your lack of academic success.

I thought this was something everybody agrees on, not just libertarians. The discussion is what alternative government policies, if any, would be better.

Where are you getting this information from exactly?

You are aware that's a libertarian think tank right? That isn't representative of everyone.

OK, so, what do you think is the actual reason for higher education being so expensive in the US? Massive government subsidies which go into expensive gymnasiums and fancy dining halls seems like an obvious explanation.

I don't doubt that's part of it, but that isn't addressing the root of the matter. I sort of addressed this in my video.

Sorry, I did not understand your video fully, language barrier. What do you think is the reason why higher education is so expensive in the US?
