The Ph Lifestyle

I've been re reading my workbook from the Tony Robbins UPW seminar I went to last October and he advocates the Ph diet and I want to follow that.

But there is a contradiction in what he teaches. On one page it says never to mix proteins with starches but on the example pages to each, 2 pages later it says have a sprout wrap (whole wheat) with nuts etc.. Or another example it says a tuna burger on a whole wheat bun (proteins and starches)

When I asked the private facebook group they said "yeah it can be confusing but you'll get it"

That doesn't explain anything! Who knows about this ?

It sounds like pseudoscience to me, you're right to be skeptical and note the contradictions.
pH diet, Macrobiotics, Natural Hygiene, Homeopathy... just different kinds of quackery. I would steer clear.

Tony Robbins may or may not know a thing or two about motivation, but he knows nothing about science or health.
Wikipedia wrote: Teachings on health and energy
One chapter of Unlimited Power, called "Energy: The Fuel of Excellence", is dedicated to a discussion of health and energy. It endorses the Fit For Life program of Harvey and Marilyn Diamond, food combining, and deep breathing. Robbins refers to Harvey and Marilyn Diamond as his "former partners".[15] The National Council Against Health Fraud wrote a highly critical review of the chapter.[16][17]

Later in his career, in his audio product Living Health, Robbins changed his teachings on health slightly. He attributes this change to the influence of Robert O. Young. In Living Health, he endorses natural hygiene, the alkaline diet, live blood analysis, and the works of Peter Duesberg and Antoine Béchamp.
These are some of the things he is said to support:

One of the tricky things about some pseudoscience, is that they mix in just enough truth for it to deceive people.

Avoiding meats and cheese is great advice, and so is eating lots of vegetables, but it's not because of their pH.
If these alternative pseudoscience hypotheses (they aren't theories, because they have no evidence) get anything right, it's pretty much by accident (or less charitably, by design to trick people into buying them).

Yeah he went over all that in the seminar, I've been doing some research on the diet he advocates - you're right, I'll just stick to not eating meat
