Photos - What Are You Eating?

Going vegan can be a challenge for someone who hasn't eaten a wide variety of foods. Give new vegans an idea of what they could prepare by taking a picture and sharing.

Include a description of ingredients so that new vegans can make these themselves.

Ingredients:
  • Food For Life (Brand): Genesis 1:29 (Product Name) Sprouted Grain and Seed Bread
    red clover sprouts (home grown)
    Vegenaise (vegan mayo)
    avocado
    tomato
    cilantro
    carrot
    green onion
    cucumber
    dill pickle
    Field Roast (Brand): Italian Sausage (Product Name) - all vegan

I've been on a smoothie kick lately, because it beats making cupcakes almost every day and is much healthier. This one contains the following, though don't ask for measurements on most of this stuff...

2 Bananas
A few handfuls of frozen fruit "Mixed Fruit" variety (I think it has grapes, peaches, mango, strawberries and maybe pineapple)
A couple of handfuls of frozen rhubarb
Flax seeds
Nutch
Chia seeds
Quick oats
PB2
Maybe 1/8 cup of chocolate chips
Unsweetened almond milk

This made two glasses, and if I didn't have someone to share with, I would have had it all myself for sure!

I've made this before and it's amazing. The picture is not mine but it's the general idea on how it looks when you actually make it.
The recipe isn't mine but from a blog site I found, hope you enjoy it :D

It's a Caramel-cinnamon ice cream with black ginger bread bars.

1 Cup Coconut Milk
2 Cups Vanilla Soy or Coconut Creamer
1 Cup Vegan Caramel Sauce
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Pinch Salt
2 Tablespoons Corn Starch
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 Heaping Cup Bite-Sized Black Gingerbread Cubes

3 onions
3 garlic cloves
1 courgette
1 red, 1 yellow and 1 green pepers
1 large carrot
~300gr peas
1/2 liter vegetable broth
Some cherry tomatoes (10 or something)
1/2 cup macaroni
2 tablespoons of sambal
Some salt en pepper

Some turkish bread (in the oven for some minutes)

Here are a few things I've eaten recently

Vegan Philly Cheese Steak
Ingredients: (as far as I know, since I didnt make it):
vegan bread, marinated seitan, diaya cheese, sautéed onions

Vegan Mock Fish
Ingredients: (as far as I know, since I didnt make it):
tofu sheets, sushi roll sheets, sprouts, carrots, broccoli

Vegan Aloo Gobi
Recipe:
Notes:
- Equal portions of potatoes to cauliflower
- Potatoes cut half, then half again, then 1 cm thick slices

Directions:
o Warm up pot till very hot
o Add oil (enough to cover bottom)
o 1 tsp of cumin seeds
o Add potatoes

(Lower heat- mix frequently)

10 minutes later…

o Add cauliflower
(cover)
10 minutes later…
o 2 tsp of turmeric
o ½ tsp of chili powder
o 1 ½ tsp of coriander powder
o 1 tsp of cumin
o 1 tsp of salt
Cook until potatoes are soft
o (optional) add tomatoes to make saucy)
o Add lemon juice before serving

Ingredients:
rice sheets, lettuce, carrots, cucumber, sautéed mushrooms, peanut sauce

South west gluten free soy free veggie burger from sunshine burgers, on veganic bread with lettuce, onions, vegan mayo and spicy brown mustard.
Home made red vegan potato salad and
Steamed green beans!

Spicy italian quinoa burger with lettuce onions and left over pasta sauce with a side of pineapple, red and green grapes!

Mung mean pasta with home made shiitake mushrooms, garlic, onions, basil, and sesame seeds with vegan garlic bread !
